Danielle Gillespie, Director - North West, Homes and Communities Agency
Danielle is the North West General Manager at the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). Since joining the Agency in January 2010 she has undertaken a variety of roles including Head of Strategy, Programmes and Performance; Head of Area (Cheshire & Warrington) and also led the National Land Disposal and Rapid Sales Team.
An Economist by profession, with an MBA in Urban Regeneration, her true passion is housing and she has over 15 years’ experience working in sector. She started her career with one of the largest housing associations in the country, before moving to launch and implement the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder on Merseyside and subsequently into consultancy where she led the Housing and Economics team there. This included a lead role on key commissions such as devising the NW Regional Housing Strategy.
As General Manager, Danielle is the lead contact with partners across the North West, working to increase housing supply and unlock opportunities for growth. This includes delivering on a series of existing City Deals, preparing delivery plans for the four recently announced Garden Villages, accelerating the development and disposal of HCAs significant land holdings around Warrington and leading discussion with the Northern Housing Consortium to implement the findings of the Commission for Housing in the North.
Nationally, Danielle is a member of HCAs people committee focused on staff development and talent retention and acts as the lead area interface on the area of Strategy and Communications.

He was Deputy Prime Minister from 1995 to 1997. He is the founder and Chairman of the Haymarket Group, one of the largest privately owned media companies in the UK.
