The inaugural IED North Conference follows the success of the IED Annual Conference in London. This event is designed to be a platform to highlight and discuss the most pressing issues in creating an environment for economic growth in the North of England, specifically. Speakers should be honest, frank and clear in their argument whilst allowing the delegation to ask questions and discuss the issues raised together. Please bear this in mind when preparing for your session, whilst addressing the conference theme: ‘Now has to be the time for the Public and Private sectors, working together, to make a real difference to the Northern economy’
Estimated audience size: 80-100
This event typically attracts largely senior local authority and public sector delegates (around 2/3 of the audience). The remainder of the delegation is from the private sector, with senior professionals from economic development and regeneration agencies. All audience members have a good knowledge base of the topics discussed throughout the day.
