Study backs more housebuilding

A study prepared for the National Housing and Planning Advice Unit suggests that it is possible to build more homes and have less volatile house prices than is currently the case in England.

The findings are revealed in the Review of European Planning Systems report prepared by De Montfort University and Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.

It found that councils in the Netherlands, Germany and France have the most proactive approaches of the countries studied in delivering land available for development to the market.
