Strategic housing land availability assessment on Ryedale

The North Yorkshire district of Ryedale will need to build on sites outside its main settlements to meet its housing targets, according to a strategic housing land availability assessment.

Roger Tym & Partners (RTP) advised that there are insufficient sites in Ryedale's main settlements to build 200 homes a year in the district outside the North York Moors national park over 20 years. But the target can be met "without having to rely on any land assessed as severely constrained", said an RTP spokesperson.
