Planning permission granted for food centre in Spalding

A food centre in Spalding, Lincolnshire, has been granted planning permission.

The £6 million scheme on Red Lion Street includes shops for local produce, teaching areas with catering facilities and office space. Work is due to start at the end of the year, with the centre opening in early 2011. The development has been funded by South Holland District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Boston College and the East Midlands Development Agency.
