Planning Aid nets patrons

Planning academic Greg Lloyd and journalist Lesley Riddoch have become the first patrons of Planning Aid for Scotland (PAS).

The move is intended to raise the organisation's profile and improve support for its work in helping people and communities engage with the planning process. "It is great to have not one but two patrons who will act as worthy ambassadors," commented PAS chief executive Petra Biberbach.

Lloyd, who is head of the University of Ulster school of the built environment, described PAS as an excellent organisation. "It has come a long way since its establishment and the reforms to the Scottish planning system mean that it continues to play a prominent role," he said.
