Online brownfield database launched

An online brownfield database for London has been launched by the London Development Agency and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The database contains around 2,300 sites, equivalent to more than two per cent of land in the capital. Sites are either vacant and available for redevelopment, likely to become vacant soon or currently going through the planning policy process. The tool is accompanied by a London-specific best practice guide to brownfield land.

The tool can be accessed at www.londonbrownfieldsites.org
