Proposed changes to the boards of Scotland's national parks

Proposed changes to the size and membership of the boards governing Scotland's two national parks were published for consultation last week, following a strategic review of the Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authorities.

The main recommendations are to reduce the boards' sizes, increase the proportion of directly elected members and set up a ministerially chaired strategy group. The strategic review and consultation paper are available at
