Firm secures retail survey

Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners (NLP) is continuing to pick up work assessing retail needs for local authorities with its latest commission from Medway Council.

The study of future shopping capacity will provide key evidence in support of the council's emerging policy for town, district and local centres to 2026. The study will include a telephone survey to establish shopping and leisure patterns and potential customers' views.

Potentially the key Thames Gateway city, Medway's regeneration is focused on brownfield waterfront sites, the redevelopment of Chatham as the area's main centre and improvements to other town centres.

In the past year, NLP has been hired to carry out retail studies for Christchurch, East and North Dorset, Havant, Purbeck, Welwyn Hatfield and Winchester.
