Communities' efforts highlighted at East Midlands event

Communities' efforts to tackle climate change are being highlighted at an East Midlands green showcase event.

Examples include a community-owned hydro plant at Torr Weir in New Mills, Derbyshire, and a "green loan" scheme set up to help householders install energy-saving features in the Meadows, Nottingham. The EXPO event staged by the regional assembly will take place on 19 November at Lincoln's EPIC Centre.
