European housing design competition becomes victim of downturn

The European housing design competition has become the latest victim of the market downturn.

CABE, which runs the contest in the UK, has scrapped this year's UK entry after receiving just two entries. Chief executive Richard Simmons said it is disappointing but not surprising given the scale of the housing market downturn.
