UNESCO representatives visit Bath

Representatives from UNESCO were visiting Bath as Planning went to press this week to investigate how its architectural heritage is being preserved.

The visit stems from the body's criticism of developments in the city earlier in the year. Edinburgh, which has also come under fire from UNESCO, will be visited next week. The cities risk losing their world heritage status if they are deemed not to be doing enough to preserve their unique historic character.
