Team chosen for gateway

Eversheds has been chosen as regeneration adviser for the Lower Lea Valley and London Riverside by the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (LTGDC).

Eversheds will offer strategic and transactional advice on real estate to help the LTGDC implement a £237 million delivery plan.

Corporation chief executive Peter Andrews said: "We look forward to working with Eversheds to deliver homes, employment, transport and social infrastructure to transform east London."

The Eversheds team is led by the head of its real estate development group Stephen Sorrell. "It is an exciting and challenging time for the LTGDC as it implements the next stage of its regeneration programme," he said.

The Lower Lea Valley incorporates parts of the London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, while London Riverside covers parts of the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Newham.
