MPs sign motion for amendment to the Energy Bill

Almost 150 MPs have signed an early-day motion put forward by Labour MP Alan Simpson calling for an amendment to the Energy Bill to enable a feed-in tariff for renewables to be developed. The renewable energy industry believes that a tariff would boost microgeneration by allowing householders to sell energy back to the grid for a reasonable price.
