Agency pledges cash for Salford scheme

English Partnerships is to invest £8.5 million to kick-start an urban quarter linking Salford and Manchester. Exchange Greengate will include public spaces, a new River Irwell crossing, 2,500 homes and more than 85,000m2 of office space. It is hoped that the scheme will draw £600 million of private investment.
