Welsh Assembly to build affordable homes

The Welsh Assembly has pledged to build 6,500 affordable homes in the principality in the next four years.

Deputy housing minister Jocelyn Davies said last week that the assembly will provide £30 million. This takes the social housing grant in Wales to £106.8 million per annum over three years to support housing associations in building low-cost homes.
