Firm boosts green offer

Jones Lang LaSalle is increasing its sustainability services offer with the purchase of London firm Upstream.

The consultancy said the move is part of its aim to become a leader in this sector. The acquired firm will provide sustainability benchmarking, research and advice for Jones Lang LaSalle's planning and property teams.

Upstream's 30 staff will become part of the energy and sustainability services division and relocate to Jones Lang LaSalle's Hanover Square offices next spring.

Upstream joint managing directors Julie Hirigoyen and Sarah Ratcliff said the acquisition allows the practice to realise its strategic goal to embed sustainability into property decision-making.
