Crawley Borough Council looks at grounds for appeal

Crawley Borough Council is looking at whether it has grounds for appeal after losing a High Court challenge against a ten-storey block of flats.

The council was disappointed by the judge's decision not to support its opposition to the 270-home scheme in Russell Way, Three Bridges. Former communities secretary Ruth Kelly approved Kingsoak Homes' proposal on appeal, but Crawley maintained that the scheme is too big. It now has to stump up £20,000 to cover the legal bill.
