Lottery funding for Falkirk project

A project that aims to transform more than 300ha of urban scrubland in Falkirk was one of three projects to win £70 million of Big Lottery funding this week.

The area will become an environmental resource featuring 34km of paths and cycle tracks, while more than a quarter of a million trees will be planted. Cornwall's Heartlands scheme and the Connswater Community Greenway project in Belfast also won £70 million each.
