Supplementary business rates could rise in Greater Manchester

Supplementary business rates could raise up to £28 million a year in Greater Manchester, the government predicted this week.

Around £27.5 million could be levied in the West Midlands, £10 million in Leeds, £5.9 million in Sheffield and £4 million in Bristol, Nottingham and Newcastle. Funds would be invested in infrastructure to help economic development.
