The route between Peterborough and Nuneaton will receive £80 million to offer an alternative to routes via London. Links between Southampton, Birmingham, the North West and Scotland will get a £43 million boost.
Funding is available to improve access to Liverpool's docks and increase capacity between the Humber ports. The schemes will remove around 300,000 lorries from the roads each year, the government estimated.
