Potters Field scheme alternatives

The London Borough of Southwark is considering two alternatives to Berkeley Homes' £200 million Potters Field scheme next to City Hall.

London mayor Ken Livingstone threatened to issue a compulsory purchase order on the land this month if the council could not come to an agreement with Berkeley. But the council said it is looking at proposals from two developers for a cultural landmark with affordable housing. It will meet next month to decide which proposal to accept, but would not reveal developers.
