Boddingtons Brewery site plans agreed

Outline plans to bring forward a £250 million scheme on the former Boddingtons Brewery site were agreed by Manchester City Council this week.

It backed the development framework for the 3ha city centre site, paving the way for more detailed plans to come forward. The mixed-use scheme will include offices, shops, a hotel and housing. It will also feature a public square and low-energy buildings that could include green walls and roofs. The scheme, brought forward by Ask Developments, Realty Estates and HOK architects, could provide up to 2,000 jobs.
