Seminar sets public focus

Planning Aid for Scotland will launch its recommended standards for community participation at an Edinburgh seminar in December.

Speakers at the event, "Engaging with Communities", will include transport, infrastructure and climate change minister Stewart Stevenson, Planning Aid for Scotland director Petra Biberbach, Cala Homes spokesman Rod Howat and former RTPI president Cliff Hague.

Alex Orr from joint organiser Indigo PR explained that the aim is to demonstrate how engaging the community could be of benefit to business projects.

The event takes place at the COSLA headquarters in Haymarket Terrace on 3 December. For details, email
