Plans for Olympic Park approved this week

Plans for the Olympic Park were approved this week by the Government Office for London and the Greater London Authority.

The move means that the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) can start to develop venues for the 2012 games and create an urban park. Outline applications for sports venues, river works, open space and legacy use have already been approved by the ODA planning committee (Planning, 17 August, p2).
