Applications close next week

Applications for the head of the government's new homes agency close next week. DCLG director-general for policy Richard McCarthy said a chief executive will be picked in October.

He stressed that the body will be committed to delivering affordable homes, adding that it will work across nine regional offices in line with regional spatial and economic strategies. A name and head office location are yet to be confirmed.
