University of Worcester set to gain city campus

The University of Worcester is set to gain a £120 million city campus after Worcester City Council backed the proposal last week. The former Worcester Royal Infirmary site will be redeveloped into a learning and cultural quarter for the city. The scheme will secure more than 1,250 jobs and bring an extra £60 million each year into the local economy by 2012.
