Plans prepared by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council and Rochdale Development Agency include new cafes, restaurants, flats and offices on the River Roch waterside, extending the shopping district and moving the bus station. A developer will be chosen later this year. Work is due to start in mid 2008.
