JMP Consulting commissioner to examine feasibility of a rail park-and-ride in Truro

JMP Consulting has been commissioned by Cornwall County Council to examine the feasibility of a rail park-and-ride scheme as a means of tackling traffic congestion in and around Truro. The company will investigate the introduction of a scheme with rail lines radiating from the town and the scope for providing park-and-ride stations between St Austell and Penzance on the main railway line. The potential to use steam traction to make park-and-ride more attractive for visitors will also be assessed.
