Sustainable Communities Bill calls for action plan
The Sustainable Communities Bill, the first to be drawn in the private members' ballot this week, is calling for local communities to decide how government money for services is spent. Tory MP Nick Hurd's bill also calls for an action plan on sustaining communities that looks ten years ahead. A date for its first reading in parliament has yet to be announced.
