Plans to build an indoor tropical rainforest unveiled

Plans to build an indoor tropical rainforest in the North West have been unveiled by leisure group Rainforest Ventures. The £75 million scheme, to be funded by a mixture of public and private money, would involve a fully energy efficient building housing the forest and a commercial hotel looking out into the tropical environment. Rainforest Ventures said it hopes that the scheme, designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, will be as successful as Cornwall's Eden Project.
