Gloucester Heritage URC plans to renew seven key sites
A £1 billion programme to deliver 3,000 homes, 2,000 jobs and office and retail facilities in Gloucester was formally launched this week. Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company (URC) plans to renew seven key sites in the city centre, including Gloucester Docks and King's Square. The URC also hopes to improve access into and around the city and create a landmark bridge spanning the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. Investment of £150 million is coming from the public sector and £100 million from the private sector.
