Retail warehouse development at Medway City secures permission

A 14,400m2 retail warehouse development at the Medway City estate in Kent has secured permission after a call-in inquiry by communities secretary Ruth Kelly. The scheme features non-food retail warehouse space, a garden centre, a builder's yard and more than 480 car parking spaces. The development will link to the town's proposed park-and-ride system, which will feature a further 413 parking spaces. Castlemore Securities will begin construction work next year.
