Timely debates on London transport

The bane of many Londoners' lives is the city's creaking transport system.

In an effort to convince long-suffering commuters that things are improving, an exhibition has been launched to showcase all the sparkly new facilities that will soon whiz them round the capital.

The exhibition, organised by New London Architecture and the London Communications Agency, features projects such as the London Cycle Network, Crossrail and the congestion charge extension. The organisers also plan to hold debates over the capital's transport system at a series of breakfast seminars starting at 8.30am. All who can make it through the rush hour to get there on time are welcome.

- London's Moving is at the Building Design Centre, London WC1, from 1 November to 13 January 2007. Further details are available at www.newlondonarchitecture.org.
