Appointment at Design for London

Peter Bishop has been made director of Design for London, the mayor's architecture and urban design unit. Bishop, director of culture and environment at the London Borough of Camden, is expected to take up the role in December when the unit is formally established. It aims to deliver world-class architecture and sustainable, inclusive designs. The mayor's chief architectural adviser Lord Richard Rogers will advise the unit, which brings together teams from the Greater London Authority, the London Development Agency and Transport for London.
