Redevelopment of the Luneside East site in Lancaster

The redevelopment of the Luneside East site in Lancaster is to take a major step forward next month when the Lancaster gasometer is demolished. Decommissioning of the site on St George's Quay has now been completed by National Grid and demolition will take place in the next few weeks. Lancaster City Council has also announced that it will become owner of the site in November following the issue of a compulsory purchase order. Developers CTP Ltd and Development Securities PLC are working on a final round of site investigations and proposals for the development.
