First residents at Walker Riverside scheme in Newcastle

The £450 million Walker Riverside scheme in Newcastle saw its first 12 residents take occupancy of new rented homes on the Cambrian estate this week, representing the start of one of the North East's largest regeneration programmes. The scheme will deliver 2,000 homes over 15 years under a joint venture between Newcastle City Council, Places for People and housing market renewal pathfinder Bridging NewcastleGateshead.
