Plans for redevelopment of a former Wedgwood Pottery site

Plans for the £30 million redevelopment of a former Wedgwood Pottery site in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, have been given the green light. Dransfield Properties' plans for shops and leisure and community facilities were supported by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in May before being referred to the Government Office for the West Midlands. Officials concluded that the scheme is in accordance with PPS6 on retail and PPG13 on sustainability and accessibility. The plans constitute phase four of the Tunstall town centre regeneration project.
