London Borough of Bexley is to apply for a judicial revieew

The London Borough of Bexley is to apply for a judicial review of a government decision to approve Europe's largest waste incinerator. The scheme, planned next to the River Thames in Belvedere, was approved by energy minister Malcolm Wicks last month (Planning, 23 June, p4). London mayor Ken Livingstone is also opposed to the facility and the council is working with him on a joint approach to the action.
