European funding awarded to Brierley Hill Regeneration Partnership

An extra £1.7 million of European funding has been awarded to Brierley Hill Regeneration Partnership to support its bid to revive the town as a strategic centre in the Black Country. Money from the European Regional Development Fund takes the total funding to £3.9 million over the next two years. It adds to contributions by Westfield, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and Advantage West Midlands. Plans for the area include a £235 million Midland Metro tram extension.
