Newbury retail

Plans for a £130 million retail development in Newbury are set to proceed after the government decided not to call in the application. West Berkshire Council will now seek to compulsorily purchase the site to bring forward the 41,800m2 Parkway scheme. Shearer Property Group and Standard Life aim to develop 50 shops, a department store and 187 homes. Drivers Jonas advised on planning and compulsory purchase.
