Barrowford flood scheme

Work on the final phase of a £4 million flood alleviation scheme in Barrowford, Lancashire, is near completion. Faber Maunsell's Bradford team has worked on all aspects of the scheme from feasibility through detailed design to construction supervision. The project aims to protect homes and businesses in the area following the severe 1992 flood and further flooding in 2000. Flood defences have been already been built at Pendle Water and Clough Springs in Barrowford to protect up to 500 homes and 18,000m2 of industrial premises.
