Partner needed to help regenerate former RAF site

A development partner is being sought to help regenerate an 82ha former RAF site in North Somerset. RAF Locking, owned jointly by English Partnerships and the South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWERDA), has been earmarked for a mixed-use development as part of the wider regeneration of Weston-super-Mare. The agencies have been working with North Somerset Council to ensure that the site fulfils its potential as an employment-led development. The area development framework envisages 25ha of employment land and 1,800 homes. GVA Grimley will help SWERDA select a developer.
