Work begins on vacant cinema in Birmingham's China Town

Work has begun to redevelop a vacant cinema in the heart of Birmingham's China Town. The scheme involves 80 flats with parking, 232m2 of retail and restaurant space and another 78 parking spaces at the LCP car park. Consultancy DBK Back will oversee the project and is working with developer Gallan Properties to appoint a contractor for the £15 million scheme, which is estimated to take 18 months to complete.
