New building for John Moores University school

A £23.5 million academy for Liverpool John Moores University's school of art and design was approved last week. The building, designed by Rick Mather Architects, will be built next to the city's Metropolitan Cathedral and is scheduled to open in 2008. It will provide 10,350m2 of floor space on five floors, with the upper storeys set back to create tiered roof terraces.
