Bell on ... how an innocent phone call can prove so painful

Darren was down in the dumps. His boss had just told him to make a phone call and he was not happy. But he knew he had to do it, the targets had to be met. The only reason the section was up to strength was the planning delivery grant and if performance dropped it would lead to a spiral of decline. Who wants to work for a "poor" authority?
