Worcester City Council bidding for National Lottery funding
Worcester City Council is bidding for National Lottery funding to rejuvenate its riverside. The council will submit a bid in January to the Living Landmarks initiative, a one-off scheme that will award around £25 million each to six applicants. The project includes three foot and cycle bridges, a public square that could be used as an amphitheatre in the summer and an ice rink in the winter and a lighthouse. The first wave of selections will be made in April.
