Educational and cultural quarter in Oldham set to be drawn up by Terence O'Rourke

A masterplan to develop an educational and cultural quarter in Oldham town centre is set to be drawn up by consultancy Terence O'Rourke. The firm, working for Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, will also provide planning and urban design advice for the scheme, which is aimed at regenerating the town's Bank Top area. The location already contains Oldham College and Oldham Sixth Form College. The masterplan team will respond to the needs of the two institutions, address the growth requirements of the University Centre Oldham and consider the possibility of building a theatre.
