Report for the ODPM

Partnerships set up as part of the New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme are providing successful models for neighbourhood renewal, according to a report published last week for the ODPM. The report says the department's NDC programme has made progress through various projects from major housing refurbishment initiatives and youth inclusion schemes to community crime teams. The report provides a national evaluation of the NDC programme from 2001 to 2005, and shows improvements in key outcome areas. NDC: Interim Evaluation can be viewed via www.PlanningResource.co.uk.
