Kent County Council launches EIA guidelines

Kent County Council launched a set of environmental impact assessment (EIA) guidelines at the European parliament this week in a bid to ensure that historic sites are considered in major schemes. The guidelines examine ways to integrate archaeology into spatial planning by ensuring their consideration in EIAs. Planarch is part of a two-year project that seeks to make heritage information more accessible to planners by developing common standards and terminology.
